Alien Frens

Backbeat created a custom live animation system for the global Web3 community behind Alien Frens during a live event at The Academy LA.

Alien Frens is a community-driven NFT project made up of 10,000 unique characters built on the Ethereum blockchain and designed to bring together a global community of collectors, creators, and fans. The project emphasizes community experiences both online and in real life through events, collaborations, and immersive gatherings.  

For this event in Los Angeles, the goal was to translate the visual identity of the Alien Frens universe into a live environment where the brand’s colorful characters and playful aesthetic could come to life on screen.

Backbeat designed a suite of custom animations that transformed the venue’s visual system into an animated world inspired by the Alien Frens universe.
